In the music video for “Libre,” written and directed by Aube Perrie, Angèle wanders through the streets of New York, accompanied by her faithful canine sidekick Pepette, enjoying a slice of pizza. Then, there’s a shift in atmosphere as the city lights fade, giving way to a post-apocalyptic setting. In this transformed world, the pop star envisions herself first as an astronaut and later as a superhero straight out of a X-Men movie. With blue hair and a padded suit, Angèle embodies a futuristic crusader as she takes control of her environment using an array of superpowers.

“Libre” is a track from Angèle’s second album, “Nonante-Cinq,” released on December 3rd and already certified double platinum. It serves as the third single from the album, following “Bruxelles je t’aime” and “Démons,” featuring rapper Damso. The Belgian singer has recently kicked off her national tour and will headline at the Défense Arena in Paris for two consecutive dates on December 2nd and 3rd, 2022.
